The hype for the Odd Future crew may have died down by now, but they certainly haven’t given up yet. Over the last few weeks, two new videos have been released. Both are directed by Tyler so you have to expect some weird shit… And we were not disappointed by any means. Both videos have Tyler shown as a centaur and a baby, and Hodgey as an old timer. The songs are pretty good too, but the videos are by far the main attraction for us anyway.
Ok so this is a home based post. Today I found out the incredible Death Grips was coming over to Dublin (18th May) for a show. Now, this is big news for me and other Grip fans alike, bur guess what? Shabazz Palace, the hip hop act taking the world by storm at the moment are also playing in Dublin. ON THE SAME NIGHT. Now, I don’t know who exactly fucked up and booked both of these Hip Hop monsters on the same night, but this fucking sucks. To add insult to injury, both acts are playing on the same street. I’m still undecided on which show to go to, but both are going to be unbelievable so that takes away the sting a bit.

So the now infamous ASAP Rocky has just released a new video. He teamed up with Vice for it doing a video inspired by Scarface, Belly, Enter The Dragon,The Warriors and Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. I’m not going to comment on his apparent influences for the video but I’m diggin’ it.
I wanted to do a special mention on these dudes after a became obsessed with them last year. Death Grips became quite a big Hip Hop act last year after they released their mixtape Exmilitary. Experimental Hip Hop at its finest. Now, it seems they plan to completely take over announcing they are going to release not just one, but TWO full length albums. Going on what they have produced so far, I’m really fucking excited to hear the new stuff. Check their mixtape out if you haven’t done so already.
